Different types of images were tested in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the system. We have included very difficult image registration examples. An online registration system demo have been developed (http://nayana.ece.ucsb.edu/registration). It contains several examples that can be executed using web browser.
CBERS, IRMSS mosaic of 4 images taken in different dates. Registration was performed using approximate rectangles selected by the operator.
This example demonstrate the use of new feature: Blending. In this case for visible video sequence mosaic. Two mosaics were obtained separately from 14 visible frames and 6 thermal. Both mosaics were made using automatic registration and blending for the visible one. Later, both were automatically registered using user selected area rectangles.
This example demonstrate registration of Landsat 7 PAN and CBERS CCD images. The result is the RGB composition of R:PAN, G:CCD band 4 and B: CCD band 3. It represents a small cut inside the overlapping area.
Mosaic of two images taken using hand carried digital camera. This example demonstrates the power of the blending method.
